How it all started…

November 2015, the beginning of a new adventure embraced with open arms. This month marks the anniversary of my Dream Project, ‘My Beautiful Home’.  It’s been 8 years, and the journey has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride filled with trials, triumphs, and overall gratitude which supersedes every other emotion. 

So pull up your chair, grab a hot coffee, and let me begin my tale of the last 8 years with you in a very abbreviated form. 

The idea that blossomed my life

It all began when I and my husband bought our dream home in the locales of Bangalore. Soon we started scouting for Interior Designers, who can transform our vision into reality by turning our house into a cozy abode that we can proudly call our Beautiful Home.  But nothing pleased our sensibilities, since we didn’t know that creativity came with terms and conditions.

We left no stone unturned and visited every store that came with a nameplate related to home decor and furniture, under the sun. That’s how we decided to take the plunge and design our home by ourselves.

Bangalore, the city where my dream was realized 

Back in 2015 while designing my dream home, I put out to the Universe that I wanted to be part of everyone’s dream home big or small. 

Our travels and word of mouth earned us client-after-client and in a city as sprawling as Bangalore, there are clients around every corner awaiting to nourish their homes aesthetically. Bangalore is expensive, demanding, and a tough proving ground. But, it’s also full of amazing people, inspiring buildings, and endless possibilities waiting to be unleashed. 

Design is an emotion, not business

My Beautiful Home was no longer a solo venture, it was the conceptualization of a design firm. We rented a small office in Koramangala 6th Block which was a garage at first, transformed into a cozy green workspace, and thus began our vision of designing homes with love and passion. 

Over the 8 years, we’ve had 80+ clients and just the thought that we have touched so many lives in our creative way is so humbling. Designing homes is not a business, its an emotion for us. It all begins with when you start understanding your clients’ needs, empathize with their concerns, and finally make their vision of a dream home come true-sometimes we even turn friends in the process. Being a part of our clients’ milestones is a moment of euphoria for us, we’re grateful to each one of them.
